The project adds a Comprehensive Movement Disorders Clinic (CMDC) and a Senior Health Clinic (SHC) to the UNMH campus. The two-story building takes advantage of a sloped site, allowing the clinics to be offset vertically to maximize daylight and views. Each clinic has a grade-level primary entrance, dedicated same-level parking, and direct access to natural light.
Each clinic consists of three ‘treatment pods’, designed around interior courtyard spaces that provide natural light and views to the treatment rooms, promoting wellbeing without compromising patient privacy. The treatment pods are laid out in a rational manner which facilitates intuitive wayfinding.
